Which would be quite hard to be believe if we just looked at photographs of her, but we’ll give her the benefit of the doubt this time.
Speaking with ELLE Singapore, where she posed for their July 2014 cover, Victoria, 40, admitted that people are often surprised when she tells them she likes to poke fun at herself.
“People are probably surprised that I have a sense of humour. I like to take the mickey out of myself.
“As much as I take what I do very seriously, I also want to have fun. I like to poke fun at myself… And I think that surprises people.”
Since leaving the Spice Girls, Victoria - who has four children, Brooklyn, 15, Romeo, 11, Cruz, nine, and two-year-old daughter Harper – turned her career round and has since become an internationally celebrated fashion designer.
A-listers such as Beyoncé and Cameron Diaz are regularly seen designs from her fashion line, but Victoria says the only person she’s trying to compete against is herself, adding:
“I’m not competing with anybody else out there; I’m just competing with myself. I never went into this to prove anything to anybody, other than myself.
“I think if you’re too afraid of failure then you won’t challenge yourself, then you won’t move forward. I like to challenge myself.”
