They escaped wintry UK for sunny Miami with their four children on Christmas Day, and insiders say the Beckhams’ stay in the US is about to be made more permanent.
Former England captain David has been revelling in being back on the pitch, as he helps prepare his MLS football team, Inter Miami, for its upcoming season.
Meanwhile Victoria, 46 – aka Posh – has been working on her beauty line amid plans to boost its US profile after escaping the UK on a private jet just days before the nation was plunged into the third lockdown.
It’s the longest the Beckhams have spent in America since moving to LA in 2007 for six years and, despite previously vowing to make London their permanent base, insiders say their trip has sparked a change of heart – especially as their kids’ careers are also flourishing in America.
A source says, “Vic and David have enjoyed being back in England, so even when they decided to fly out to Miami at Christmas, it was only meant to be temporary. But they’ve been surprised by how much they’ve enjoyed it.
“Vic sees lots of potential to make her fashion business boom again with the A-list crowd in America, and all her kids have been immediately accepted – and thrown huge career opportunities.”
Last week, Brooklyn, 22, was spotted viewing homes in LA with his 25-year-old model and actress fiancée, Nicola Peltz.
It came as he was revealed to have bagged his first Hollywood role by working on photography for movie Lola James, which his billionairess fiancée is also starring in, as well as co-directing.
Brooklyn’s also landing the most sought-after gigs in the fashion and photography world. Last week, he revealed he’d shot a segment for the launch issue of Vogue Man Hong Kong, writing on Instagram, “Congratulations to @VogueHongKong x Happy to have contributed”.
The source says, “They’ve been eyeing-up homes in the Hollywood Hills as a peaceful retreat just a stone’s throw from the hustle and bustle of LA life. That’s another reason Vic is so keen to move back to the US – especially given Miami is just a five-hour flight away versus a 12-hour flight from the UK.”
Brooklyn’s brother Romeo, 18, is also in demand in LA and last week, Victoria revealed she was on set for a “secret new project” with him, while insiders tell Closer how the budding model – who became the face of Burberry at just 12 years’ old – has teamed-up with his mum to front her latest beauty collection.
The source says, “Vic’s keen to promote her beauty and skincare line to the male market and she’s hoping that Romeo’s role will benefit them both by relaunching his modelling career as well as giving her range a huge publicity boost.”
Following Romeo’s second campaign for Burberry in 2015, the fashion house reported a 14 per cent increase in sales – helping to generate a whopping £604m in just three months.
And with experts warning of “significant doubt” over the future of Posh’s ailing fashion line, amid reports last week that items from her label were on sale in TK Maxx for “bargain prices”, insiders say the designer is now hoping her children will ensure the success of her beauty collection – while simultaneously giving them a platform for their own multi-million dollar brands.
The youngest of the Beckham boys, Cruz, 16, recently teased that he’ll soon release a new song, after the budding singer teamed up with Justin Bieber’s manager, Scooter Braun, in 2016 on charity Christmas single, If Everyday Was Christmas. And while the Beckhams’ youngest child and daughter, Harper, is only nine, insiders say it won’t be long before she joins the star-studded siblings.

The source says, “Vic’s proud of what the kids have achieved but she has dreams of emulating the success of the Kardashians, who have a worth of $2 billion – double that of Brand Beckham.
“She has no doubt they can do it because the children are ambitious and hard-working. She realises some say they piggy-back off her and their dad, but she vehemently disagrees – they could sit back and do nothing like a lot of celebrity children, but they have so much drive she doesn’t feel guilty helping them.
“While she is keen not to push Harper, given she’s still so young, she’s hoping if she starts carving out gigs for her now, it will give her a foundation to launch her career when she’s ready – by which time she’ll hopefully have three superstar brothers to help guide and inspire her.”
