It was revealed last week that David Beckham’s BFF Dave Gardner and his actress wife Liv Tyler have split.
The couple, both 44 – who were first introduced by mutual friend Kate Moss in 2014 and share son Sailor, six, and daughter Lula Rose, five, together – are said to have quietly ended their seven-year romance on amicable terms earlier this year.
David, 46, and Victoria, 47, have previously been spotted out on double dates with the couple, with close friends Liv – daughter of Aerosmith rock singer Steve – and Victoria downing boozy jello shots together at Liv’s 42nd birthday in 2019.

Prior to the split, Liv – who also shares 16-year-old son Milo with her ex, British rocker Royston Langdon – had bemoaned that football-mad Dave once took her to a game on Valentine’s Day, adding, “My partner knows David [Beckham] well, so football is on in our house all the time.”
And insiders say that, since the break-up several months ago, Victoria has worried that Dave’s newly single status could tempt her husband into enjoying some “lads’ weekends” away with his bachelor pal to help him get over the heartbreak.

A source reveals, “Vic really liked Dave and Liv as a couple and knows how hard the last few months have been for them both.
“However, there is an underlying fear that, with Dave back on the single scene, he’s going to be going out more and David will become his wing-man.
“David’s been Dave’s rock over the last few months and, while Vic’s been supportive of their close friendship and has also been there for him, she’s a bit concerned amid talk of lads’ weekends away and trips to distract Dave from his heartache.”

Football agent Dave – who also shares 14-year-old son Grey with his ex-wife, Hollyoaks star Davinia Taylor, and was linked to Rita Ora and Kelly Brook before meeting Liv – first met David when they played for Manchester United’s Youth Team when they were both 14.
The pair have remained firm friends since, with David appointing Dave as his firstborn-son Brooklyn’s godfather.
But pals say David has assured Victoria – with whom he shares Brooklyn, 22, Romeo, 19, Cruz, 16, and Harper, 10 – that she has no need to be concerned.
The source adds, “David told Vic that Dave isn’t interested in wild partying and bed-hopping and will most likely be spending more time at theirs if anything, in need of the company, which helped put Vic’s mind at rest.”
