His eldest brother is a model-turned-TV chef and photographer and his other brother is a professional footballer – now Cruz Beckham is making his own way in the world as he ramps up his bid to become the next Justin Bieber.
But his ride to pop stardom has already drawn criticism after a controversial risqué photo shoot, and insiders say the 17-year-old’s mum, Victoria Beckham, 47, is worrying about how her “baby” boy will cope in the glare of the limelight.
Fans expressed shock at his recent photo shoot in a fashion and music magazine, where Cruz – then aged just 16 – posed in his pants with his trousers pulled down as he gave an interview about his ambition to be a pop star.
Meanwhile, there was heartbreak last week when it was announced that Cruz had split from his girlfriend Bliss Chapman, 16 – leaving Posh upset, as Bliss’ mum Rosemary is one of her best pals.
A source says, “Vic is naturally worried about Cruz given his split from Bliss and the backlash over the magazine shoot, which has given him a taste of the reality of being launched into the spotlight.

“Cruz has always been Vic’s ‘baby’ – even though Harper is the baby of the family, he is her youngest son and while he’s grown up in a world-famous family with a pop-star mum and famous footballer dad David, he’s going it alone now and having to experience criticism and public bashing on a personal level. It’s a very difficult thing for Vic to watch and it’s creating a lot of anxiety for her.
“He’s the first of her kids to follow in her footsteps into pop and though she was young when she joined the Spice Girls [aged 20], Cruz has only just turned 17 and has the added pressure of social media and all the toxic trolling she never had to deal with.
“She wants him to pursue his passions – and he has his sights on being as big as Justin Bieber – but she’s worried how he’ll cope.”
The source adds that Posh is feeling more concerned after his split from Bliss – whose mum is a model-turned-celebrity nutritionist and part of Posh’s inner circle of pals – as she had a “grounding” effect on Cruz.
The source says, “Vic really liked Bliss and thought she was great for Cruz, so she’s really upset about their split and feels their break-up could mean he loses a grounding influence which would’ve benefitted him if he catapults to fame quickly. She knows she can’t stop him from pursuing his dreams – especially given she did the same – but she worries about what the future holds.”
