As we all know, Olly Murs and Caroline Flack will NOT be returning to present The X Factor later this year.
So who will take their place?
Well, according to reports, Dermot O’Leary is in talks to return to The X Factor presenter - despite the fact that the 26-year-old recently suggested that music mogul Simon Cowell should 'take the show off air for a year'.
A source told The Sun: “Talks are under way on his deal but everything is positive. Producers have realised you can't take any risks with the presenter of the show.
“There is even talk Dermot could be offered the presenting job for the rest of the show's life when a new deal is signed with ITV.”
However there is a new contender waiting in the wings…
Yup, Vicky Pattison has been hotly rumoured to take the reigns when (or if) the reality singing show returns for 2016.
And now Vicky has addressed those rumours head-on.
Speaking in her New! column, the brunette beauty said: “The lads and lasses on Twitter reckon they want me to replace Olly Murs and Caroline Flack as The X Factor host.
“How flattering is that?!”
However Vicky went on to admit that Simon Cowell hasn’t asked her to consider the job just yet.
And, even if he phoned tomorrow, the jungle beauty added that she would have to think about it very, very hard.
“I need to walk before I can run… and I’m still learning my craft.”
However Vicky is VERY happy to do The Xtra Factor instead - especially if Rylan Clark takes the main gig.
“How about that for a dream team?” she chuckled.
While Vicky is rooting for Rylan, however, bookmaker Coral thinks that she has a VERY good shot at the job of X Factor presenter - although Dermot O’Leary is still the public’s number one choice.
“Vicky Pattison is a popular figure and some punters believe she could be the new face of the X Factor, but the odds are still very much in favour of Dermot O’Leary returning to his old job,” said Coral’s Nicola McGeady.
