According to reports, Tess Daly has laid down the law going forward for husband Vernon Kay, after he was caught texting glamour model Rhian Sugden AGAIN.

A source told the Daily Star paper that the TV presenter has even got hold of Vernon’s phone password in order to keep an eye on his movements.

The source revealed: "I don't think Tess will ever stop being paranoid about Vern texting other women.

"He has managed to convince Tess it was all a complete stitch-up, but I don't think she'll forget."

A source also revealed to Closer magazine last week that pal Katie Price is helping Tess rebuild her marriage amidst the scandal.

The source said: “Katie wants to see Tess and Vernon make it through all this, like she did with Kieran.”

Kieran was caught cheating on wife Katie with two of her friends in 2014, but the couple managed to stick together and move past the trust betrayal.

The source continued: “Katie knows Tess must want to be absolutely sure her husband has not been doing anything behind her back.”

“She knows it sounds drastic, but she think Tess should make Vernon do a lie detector test [like Katie did to Kieran]”

Rhian Sugden responds to Vernon Kay message scandal on Twitter pointing at 'Liar'

Rhian Sugden has taken to Twitter in the early hours of Thursday morning to post a cryptic message aimed at a "liar".

Up until now, Rhian has kept her silence regarding allegations that she had reconnected with TV presenter, Vernon Kay, six years after text messages between the pair almost destroyed his marriage to Tess Daly.

She stated in a Tweet: "A liar should have a good memory #TwoSides" alongside a picture of Disney's Pinocchio.

The Tweet has since been deleted.

This comes just after it was reported that Tess has decided to give husband Vernon one last chance at their marriage following the sexting allegations.

News of Vernon's alleged sexting broke on Tuesday when it was reported that he sent Rhian "hundreds of texts" over the last 3 months.

A source told The Sun newspaper that the Bolton-born star began speaking to Rhian again just before Christmas and was aware of the potential consequences: “He knows he’s been playing with fire and God only knows what poor Tess will make of this.

The source claimed that: “Vernon told Rhian that he wanted to reconnect with her and he gave her a false name in his mobile.

“Sometimes he texted her while he was actually presenting his radio show and it wasn’t long before they were speaking to each other over the phone.”

In the latest messages to Rhian, Vernon is alleged to have suggested that the pair meet for dinner to achieve some “closure” and even joked that she could put on a wig or moustache as a “disguise”.

He reportedly asked her to keep the alleged texts private and is claimed to have signed some of the texts with a kiss.

It's claimed Vernon admitted in the texts that he was being an “idiot” and expressed worries over being caught again.

However he still asked to meet Rhian, who is said to have agreed to his suggested dinner plans, to get some “answers”.

Due to work commitments, it is reported that the pair never ended up following through with their planned dinner together.

Rhian has yet to comment on social media about the allegations

Yet despite the claims, Vernon has hit back at the reports in a Facebook post:

"Regarding today’s story: I was contacted by Rhian out of the blue back in December regarding the story in 2010 claiming she had information she wanted to pass on."

"I recognise how it may look when messages are pulled out of context but there was never any inappropriate intent to our communication, I was merely trying to find answers to questions that I've had since 2010."

"Tess is aware of everything that has been discussed with Rhian."

Tess Daley’s reps have declined to comment on these allegations.

This is not the first time that Vernon had been caught messaging the model, who is engaged to ex-Corrie star, Oliver Mellor.

In 2010, he admitted to sending saucy messages to Rhian every day for 4 months after meeting her in a club in Bolton.

After the indiscretion was made public, Vernon made a public apology to his wife of 13 years, Tess Daley, and their two daughters.
