The singer made the confession in the diary room after his CBB housemate model Sophie Anderton told him he needs to ‘come out of his shell.’

He said: ‘I don’t really go out and party anymore. Sophie was telling me that I need to come out of my shell and really shine, it’s good advice, I can’t knock that.

‘But what people don’t know about me is I‘ve got this condition; it’s a kind of autism called Aspergers.’

I’m trying to make the best of it

Explaining he only found out about his condition recently, Abs said: ‘It’s a personal thing but it makes it difficult for me in certain scenarios when people want the sparkly bright Abz all the time.

‘I only found out a couple of years ago so it’s all new to me but I’m trying to make the best of it.’

Meanwhile, recovering addict Sophie admitted she has to be careful about who she mixes with in the fashion industry.

When asked who she's remained friends with, she said: ‘Yasmin Le Bon. She’s quite grounded. Jodie Kidd. Kate (Moss) is lovely as well.’

The model – who has been clean since 2009 - revealed she had reason to be wary following an following an encounter with an assistant during a shoot.

'A hairdresser was doing cocaine in the loo,' she recalled. 'I’m four years into recovery. I took extreme offense that he would do it around me.’

In an interview given before her entry into the CBB house, the model admitted she blew a £10million by snorting up to eight grams of cocaine a day for 13 years.
