The 25-year-old former X Factor judge gave evidence this afternoon, insisting she did not physically touch Savvas, and claiming that he was stalking her at the time.
Singer Tulisa recounted that she was watching Beyonce perform at V Festival last summer when the altercation with Savvas occurred. She claimed that he became aggressive towards her.
The Mirror reported that she said: “I didn’t want him following me. I did feel he could attack me at any moment because of his level of aggression. He seemed to be losing it.”
Tulisa continued, claiming that Savvas began to insult her, bringing up her career and her mother’s mental illness.
“I could literally compare it to a playground slanging match,” she said. “I have not laid a finger on him.
“This is a combination of a publicity stunt and a vendetta from him. I can’t believe it’s been taken to this point and I’m standing here today.”
Tulisa told the court that the claimed vendetta started in 2011, when she asked for Savvas and Chloe Green to be removed from the VIP area in a London nightclub, and added that he is ‘obsessed with her’.
Her close friend and PA Gareth Varey also gave evidence today as a witness in her defence. Alexandra Burke is among the celebrities who witnessed the incident last August but did not give evidence.
