But it seems the mother of three wasn't in luck today - receiving a rather bland tweet from her husband instead.

Writing to her this morning, Wayne said: 'Happy Birthday to my wife @ColeenRoo hope you have a nice day'.

The couple have been together since their schooldays, beginning their relationship at 16 when they were both living in Liverpool. After a six year relationship they married in 2008 and now have two sons together.

Their relationship was rocked by claims that Rooney paid £1,000 for a threesome with two women whilst Coleen was pregnant with their first child.

Presenter Emma Willis spoke out this week that she tried to keep her relationship with Busted star Matt Willis ‘as unromantic as possible.’

The star said that date nights have to just be food and a movie, ‘no candlelit dinners.’
