Bill Cosby's lawyer told TMZ: "Over the last several weeks, decade-old, discredited allegations against Mr. Cosby have resurfaced. The fact that they are being repeated does not make them true."

The site also reported that comedian, Hannibal Buress, made a joke last month during a stand-up set where, he wondered if people remembered Bill had been accused of rape by 13 women over the years.

The lawyer continued: "Mr. Cosby does not intend to dignify these allegations with any comment.

“He would like to thank all his fans for the outpouring of support and assure them that, at age 77, he is doing his best work."

Earlier this week The Washington Post reported a former actress, named Barbara Bowman, who said that Bill had drugged and raped her on more than one occasion in the mid-1980s during a time when he was mentoring her as a young actress.

These alleged reports were at the same time he was starring in the biggest hit on television, The Cosby Show.

Barbara, who is married with children and lives in Arizona, wrote: "While I am grateful for the new attention to Cosby's crimes, I must ask my own questions: Why wasn't I believed? Why didn't I get the same reaction of shock and revulsion when I originally reported it? Why was I, a victim of sexual assault, further wronged by victim blaming when I came forward?

"The women victimised by Bill Cosby have been talking about his crimes for more than a decade. Why didn't our stories go viral?"

The mother-of-two’s allegations follow similar charges by other women, one of whom, Andrea Constand, filed a civil lawsuit against the actor in 2005, which promised to include testimony from 13 other then-unnamed women.
