TV presenter Ann Salter faces jail after claiming £65,000 in benefits

A former BBC employee is facing jail after she falsely claimed over £65,000 in benefits while still working.

Ann Salter said she couldn’t work due to suffering from depression, but had actually been working on a number of television and radio shows throughout the period in question.

Ann has worked on numerous TV and Radio programmes

The 49-year-old, who lives in Shepperton, Surrey with her partner, has presented Woman’s Hour, Radio 5 Live, as well as programmed on The Travel Channel and Sky Sports.

She was caught when she posted a showreel online which covered her work in television and radio.

Ann now faces jailtime for her actions

Ann plead guilty to falsely claiming over £65K in benefits since 2005, and she will be sentenced later in the month.

She will have to pay back all the money given to her.
