The singer was arrested in June last year following footage filmed by an undercover journalist that revealed the star as claiming that she knew someone who could sell them class A drugs.

She was later bailed following the search of her £4.5 million mansion in Hertforshire. Tulisa was formally charged on December 9 before a judge and scheduled to appear in court to face charges.

Her lawyer then read out a statement revealing that she is pleading not guilty to the charges.

Her lawyer, Ben Rose, read in the statement following the charges: ‘As has been widely reported, this entire case has been manufactured by the Sunday Sun and Mazher Mahmood, sometimes known as the fake sheikh. They spend a large amount of their readers’ money in flying Tulisa and a number of her friends first class to Las Vegas. There Mahmood posed as a film producer offering her a £3million film contract.’

Tulisa will appear in court alongside friend and rapper Mike GLC, who was also arrested ‘with being concerned’ in the supply of class A drugs.

Musician Mike (real name Michael Coombs) has also revealed he is pleading not guilty to the charges.

Tulisa’s initial arrest was around the same time that she exited The X Factor, where she was then replaced by talent show veteran Sharon Osbourne.

Both Tulisa and The X Factor camp maintained that her arrest had nothing to do with her exit from the show.

The case continues.
