The 24 year-old former X Factor judge has accepted £42,500 after TNT wrongfully published a still from the video which had been leaked online.

The website was foced to pay the damages after they broke an injuction banning the footage from being published.

TNT are said to have removed the picture as soon as it heard an injunction had been granted – but the video had already garnered 9,000 hits.

The settlement emerged during a High Court hearing in London regarding the legal costs involved in the breach of privacy proceedings Tulisa brought about in March last year, following the tape's leak.

Mr Justice Dingemans said the photo that it had encouraged the public to pursue illegal copies of the video.

TNT argued that the picture added nothing to the story and that the public would have already been aware of the video from other coverage on the internet.

However, they did admit liability and offered the £42,500 as compensation to Tulisa - which she accepted.

TNT have since gone into administration so the legal costs will be paid by their insurers.

The N-Dubz singer won an apology from her ex-boyfriend Justin Edwards in July last year for leaking the tape - which he previously denied.

Her solicitor Jonathan Coad told the High Court at the time that the invasion of her privacy was ‘of the most severe kind imaginable.’
