The 26-year-old, who shot to fame in the BBC adaptation of Jacqueline Wilson’s famous book series in 2002, confessed she and boyfriend Simon Brough are over the moon at the prospect of starting a family.
Speaking to Hello! magazine, Dani said: “I absolutely can’t wait. I’m also really nervous. But I guess I just have to take each day as it comes. I’ve always wanted to be a mum.

“We’re over the moon. I still wake up every morning and go, ‘I’m pregnant’. It was amazing seeing the scan. I find the whole thing absolutely fascinating. What an amazing, clever thing to be going on inside my body.”
Dani insisted she plans to be a fun mum and will take inspiration from her own mother, who she said was a ‘friend she could tell absolutely anything’.
She added: “I think if you can find the balance between respect and friendship, combining all those things into one, that would be perfect.”
And Simon admitted they’ve got no plans to get married just because they’re having a baby.
He said: “Dani wants the little one to walk up the aisle with us, so we’ll have to wait a few years for that.”
In 2012 Dani took part in the tenth series of Strictly Come Dancing, with her and partner Vincent Simone coming fourth place.
