According to reports, ex TOWIE star Charlie King briefly enjoyed a couple of dates with Grammy winning singer Sam Smith.
The Sun claims that the pair met up numerous times, but kept the budding romance top secret.
A source told the paper: “Sam and Charlie don’t mix in the same circles so the only way they could meet was through social media.
“The pair went out together a number of times but always had to make sure they weren’t spotted. They preferred going to low-key pubs in London or to Sam’s apartment.”
If you were hoping for a match made in heaven then you might be rather disappointed.
The pair decided that they were better off staying friends.
The insider added: “The pair hung out to discover if they were compatible. Friends have said nothing romantic happened because they decided they were better off as friends.
“Sam’s schedule is incredibly hectic so their dates were very sporadic. They mutually decided in May that it wasn’t going to work.”
This isn’t the first time that a TOWIE star has been linked with an A-lister.
Sam Faiers was reportedly asked out on a date with Leonardo DiCaprio last year, whilst Jake Hall was linked to actress Lindsay Lohan (a claim both parties later denied).
