Fans of The Only Way Is Essex were left concerned after reports claimed that cast member Arg had been spotted drinking whilst filming in Marbella.
Arg’s incredible transformation has been credited to his decision to quit booze following a sting in The Priory over Christmas.
But the reality star- who is now back with ex-girlfriend Lydia Bright- says he is still allowed to drink as his problems weren’t specifically linked to alcohol.
He told the Daily Star on Sunday: “I was never an alcoholic. My problems weren’t specific to alcohol.
“It was more a lifestyle change.”
The 27-year-old added: “I need to worry if I want to go out every night of the week waiting to get out of my face, which I am nowhere near considering.
“I couldn’t be further from it.
“I personally don’t think it is the end of the world. I am in the early stages of recovery so it is not recommended for me to go out and get drunk but if it happens, my life isn’t ruined. I just need to nip it in the bud.”
Arg insists that he feels much better following his lifestyle overhaul and now refuses to let ‘fame get to my head’.
