Lockie was arrested in Dagenham following an altercation with a taxi driver. He was then charged with possession of drugs.
The 27-year-old appeared in court following the incident where he pleaded not guilty. He is due back in court in Romford, Essex, on June 27.
TOWIE producers have since banned James from filming in Marbella with the rest of the cast and The Mirror have reported that Lockie is set to be dropped from the show completely.
A source told the paper: ‘Lockie is an immensely popular chap with big storylines but it’s touch and go whether he stays on the show.’
James will be understandably disappointed. But he is looking forward to clearing his name in court.’
It was revealed that Lockie had cheated on girlfriend Danielle Armstrong, 25, during an explosive storyline in the most recent series of TOWIE.
Lockie initially denied cheating on his girlfriend, but when Danielle was shown incriminating text messages he could no longer hide his guilt.
The couple finished the series by heading off on a make-or-break holiday in Morocco.
