We’re catching up with The Only Way Is Essex star shortly after her return from a holiday in Dubai – where she was pictured looking amazing in a cutaway swimsuit – and it’s clear to see why she’s TOWIE’s hottest property.
“I must have a really fast metabolism, because I don’t really watch what I eat or exercise and my body never really changes. I’m sure it’ll catch up with me when I hit 30, though!”
Georgina, 27 – who’s 8½st and a slender size 8 – admits she can’t cook and often eats out or orders takeaways when she’s not eating her usual “kiddie meal” of chicken nuggets, beans and chips at home.
“I live on my own, so I eat out a lot,” she admits. “My favourite food is Italian. I love carbonara pasta, as well as Thai and Turkish food. I shouldn’t look like this considering what I eat!”
And Georgina – who’s rumoured to be the new face and body of a major advertising campaign – admits her mum has the same big appetite.
She reveals: “Mum has always been slim, yet she likes big portions like me. We often eat dinner together as she lives round the corner from me in Essex.”
Georgina – who set up a property development business with her builder brother Michael, 25, after her father passed away when she was 21 – is extremely close to her family and loves her mum’s home cooking. But, when left to her own devices, she admits she’s a nightmare when it comes to eating.
She says: “My diet is really bad. I always have chocolate for breakfast – usually Minstrels – then I’ll have houmous and pitta bread with olives for lunch, then a takeaway for dinner. I don’t drink that much and might just have a few glasses of rosé wine once a week. I’m really lucky that I don’t have to worry about what I eat – but I know it won’t always be this way.”
Looking at her body, it’s not surprising to learn that 5ft 6 Georgina – who had a boob job when she was 20, taking her from a 32AA-cup to a 32DD-cup – has never been overweight. But she admits that, last year, she gained half a stone, taking her up to 9st and a size 10.
She says: “I was single for a bit and going out loads and had lots of holidays, so I was eating way too much. I know I wasn’t big and I’m not one of those girls who moans about being fat but, for me, I was bigger than usual.”
Gaining a few pounds is something her friend and TOWIE co-star Lauren Goodger, 25 – who has gone from a size 10 to a 14 since the first series aired in 2010 – can relate to. Lauren herself admitted recently: “I’m not over the moon about my weight.
But Georgina is quick to defend her friend, saying: “Lauren gets so much stick for her weight, which is really harsh. I know it gets to her and she finds it hard,“My diet is really bad. I always have chocolate for breakfast – usually Minstrels but I try to tell her not to worry about it.
“I don’t think she’s overly big – it’s just she’s bigger than she was. If she had always been that size, no one would care. I think she gained weight from being newly single [she split from fiancé Mark Wright, 25, in August], going out more with her friends and enjoying herself.
“It must be hard for her, as all the girls on the show are really slim. I think Lucy [Mecklenburgh, 20] has the best figure of all the girls. She’s got a tiny waist and looks great all over. I don’t really compare myself with friends, but if I could look like anyone else, it’d be Cheryl Cole or Kelly Brook. I love their curves.”
Georgina, who is best mates with newly engaged Rochelle Wiseman, 23, of The Saturdays, says she’s not yet sure whether she’ll be a bridesmaid at the singer’s wedding to JLS star Marvin Humes, 27.
“The wedding plans are very much under wraps at the moment,” smiles Georgina, who met Rochelle through mutual friends. “I don’t know if I’ll be bridesmaid. But I know she’s doing a lot of exercise in the run-up to her wedding. She’s got an amazing figure.”
And Georgina who, in the past, has briefly dated TOWIE co-star Mario Falcone, 23 (now Lucy Mecklenburgh’s boyfriend) and is rumoured to be dating a Liverpool and England footballer, knows the type of husband she’s looking for when her big day eventually comes round.
She says: “I like someone who is up for a laugh, not too into themselves, but nice and toned. I’ve got loads of exciting things coming up this year, though, so men are the last thing on my mind!”
