Charlie was enjoying a night out at a Mayfair nightspot when a TOWIE fan- angry over his love rat ways on the show- attacked him with glass.
The TOWIE star revealed to The Mirror: ‘She scarred my face… She smashed me in the face with a glass.’
‘I didn’t press charges because I didn’t see her after that. She just got chucked out of the club.’
Despite the attacker escaping without police involvement, Charlie has been left with permanent scarring to his face after the attack.’
‘I didn’t know I was bleeding until it was coming down my face. Now, I have a massive scar.’
Charlie is now back together with girlfriend Ferne McCann, but this didn’t stop the hardcore fan from making her feelings known to Charlie.
‘It had all come out about our relationship - the cheating scandal. And she was obviously Team Ferne...’
He added: ‘You get people who are die hard, and watch it every week. They take it very seriously outside of the show. But this was extreme.’
Ferne added that she and Charlie are used to verbal abuse from fans.
‘That’s the reality. Me and Charlie get slated by fans… That’s some of the negatives of the show.’
