Original TOWIE cast member Lydia Bright has quit the show
We've loved TOWIE ever since it first graced our screens back in 2010 but we're devastated after it has been announced that original cast member Lydia Bright has left the show.
Over the years, she sure has entertained us; from the ups and downs in her relationship to Arg, to the banter she has with her mum Debbie we love her.
One of the infamous TOWIE couples Arg and Lydia split last year and while Arg has taken a break from the ITVBe reality show following his rehab stint, he is reportedly heading back into the show for the next series.
He previously had to deny rumours that he was sacked from the show. On Twitter, he wrote: "I definitely haven't been axed & I'm incredibly grateful to my @OnlyWayIsEssex @ITVBe family's who have continued to support me! #BeBackSoon."
However according to The Sun, Arg returning to the show has helped Lydia make her decision to leave the ITVBe show.
An insider told the publication: "She was weighing up her future following the end of the last series and with Arg clearly being back in contention, it triggered her decision.
"She knew he would get a lot of airtime and it’s only natural she would be dragged into possible storylines."
A spokesperson for Lydia confirmed the news, saying: "Lydia has decided to take a break from Towie and this decision is fully supported by Lime Pictures."
We're not going to lie, we're devastated. We'll definitely miss Lydia giving the rest of the girls advice.
Lydia first left the show back in 2012 after breaking up with her boyfriend Arg but decided to return to the show in 2014 after the pair reunited.
If you're wondering what Lydia will get up to following her TOWIE departure you don't need to worry, she's previously taken part in Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls and The Jump so we're excited to see what she does next.
