Arg, 26, took to Twitter to announce he was back, and headed straight for some chicken.

He wrote: "Its good to finally be back in Essex #HomeIsWhereTheHeartIs New Year coming up & a new start! 1st stop… Nando's haha #SomeThingsNeverChange [sic]"

Obviously a return to Essex wouldn't be complete without some pampering, and Arg's second stop was a barbers for a fresh trim.

Sharpes Barbers shared photos of Arg in the salon chair, looking happy and healthy and like rehab was exactly what he needed.

Despite the fact on/off girlfriend Lydia Bright is currently travelling in Thailand, Arg obviously has a lot of support around him.

Today he retweeted a message from ex girlfriend Gemma Collins' mum Joan, which said: "Thinking of you James and I know it's going to be a fantastic 2015 for you. Your be back laughing boy [sic]."

Arg clearly wasn't done with the pampering, as he later added: "Straight down to Simsy's Boxing gym with the lads and then treating my self to some treatments @traquility8 #HomeSweetHome [sic]"

Meanwhile Arg's former TOWIE co-star Tom Pearce reckons it won't be long before he's back on the show.

Tom, 24, told the Mirror: "I'm not sure if he's gone for good, I don't know what's going on there. I haven't seen him in the last couple of weeks, but hopefully he'll be back. He's a big part of the show."
