The 23-year-old quit TOWIE and his relationship with Ferne, 24, claiming at the time he was being ‘The Real Charlie Sims’.

But it seems The Real Charlie Sims still isn’t totally over his ex-girlfriend.

Charlie went out to Sugar Hut on Bank Holiday Sunday (like we imagine the whole cast of The Only Way Is Essex did), and he bumped into Ferne.

But it wasn’t one of those horribly awkward moments with your ex. Instead the deli owner posed for a picture with her.

Sharing the snap on Instagram, Charlie wrote: “That exact moment when that person walks in the room.. And you want to say ‘I’ve missed you’, but you don’t!

“Because you know that is a complete understatement. @fernemccann #LongTimeNoSee #SugarHut #BankHolidayMonday”

Obviously the picture sparked rumours the reality TV couple were back together, with Charlie’s followers asking for clarification.

Neither Charlie or Ferne have commented on the picture, but it just seems to us like two exes who have managed to remain friends.
