British DJ and Celebs Go Dating star Tom Zanetti, 31, told Instagram about his son, Deaconn’s, recent hospitalisation due to a ruptured appendix. He and his 14-year-old son have been in the “hospital for seven days and seven nights” during this "scary and upsetting" situation.
Tom says his son has been making a full recovery as he jokes at his bedside. "Some people have it a lot worse and I've just tried to entertain him best I can with dad jokes," he said.
“Deaconn’s appendix burst in his belly last week and it was really, really bad,” he continued.
“I am very proud of him because he didn’t moan, he didn’t cry once, and it was horrible agony.”
The two have been ‘camping’ next to each other for the last week.
Tom added, "It's been scary and very upsetting; he had a lot of issues and a very serious case, so we had to stay longer to make sure he's ok.”
"He must be sick of the sight of me now sleeping next to him this close for a week."
Sending his love and appreciation to the NHS staff he continued, "Lots of love everyone and thank you every day to nurses and doctors."
Tom became a father to Deaconn at 17 years old. He made his name as a DJ and was one of the recent singletons to enter the Celebs Go Dating Mansion, where he moved viewers to tears when talking about becoming a parent at a young age.
When asked if he felt like he had missed out on many opportunities in life due to becoming a parent so young Tom said, “The only thing I wish I had was that I always wanted to get married."
Tom Zanetti has recently joined the cast of Made in Chelsea; surprising Sophie Hermann at the luxury Cotswolds manor on her birthday.

Speaking of his relationship with Made in Chelsea's Sophie Hermann, who he met on Celebs Go Dating: The Mansion in November, he said, “It came together so authentically. We met each other on the first day, but I never knew that she liked me.
Luckily, Sophie has his son’s stamp of approval. Tom says, “We’re having a good time – we’re just enjoying it and seeing what happens. Deaconn thinks she’s ace – he think she’s really funny and classy. He said, ‘Dad, she’s really bossy... but in a good way!’.”
