Sir Tom Jones, singing sensation and long-standing talent coach, has been announced to return to his The Voice chair when it moves over to ITV in 2017.
Will.i.am, Gavin Rossdale and Jennifer Hudson will also be joining the line-up.
He confirmed his return in a statement, saying:
"I had some great times on the show and I can't wait to again discover and help some brand new talent and of course be back with my pal Will.i.am."
Speaking about the new panel, he added: "I couldn't be more excited to join the amazing panel of coaches on The Voice UK."
Tom famously told the BBC to ‘go f—k themselves’ after he was replaced by Boy George allegedly without consulting him first. He also accused them of ‘sub-standard behaviour’.
The It’s Not Unusual singer, who had been with the BBC show since its conception in 2010, ranted about hisdeparture in August last year. Writing on his Facebook page, Tom said:
"About The Voice UK: in good faith, as part of the team, I’d put the time in my schedule to be involved in Series Five, as I’ve done so for the last four years. I’ve supported the show and the BBC since the beginning.
"I was told yesterday, with no consultation or conversation of any kind, that I would not be returning. Having been through plenty of transformations throughout the years, I support and admire creative change. But being informed, as a matter of duty and respect, is an important part of creative relationships.
"This sub-standard behaviour from the executives is very disappointing."
Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale (ex-husband of Gwen Stefani), who appeared on The Voice US two years ago, took to Twitter to announce his arrival:
“Absolutely thrilled to be joining @TheVoiceUK. #TeamGavin will fly the flag for British rock music! #TheVoiceUK.”
The Voice will make it’s debut on ITV in 2017. Keep your eyes peeled!
