Tom Hanks made one couple’s wedding day that little bit better when he crashed their photoshoot.
The actor was jogging through Central Park in New York City when he spotted newlyweds Elisabeth and Ryan having photos taken.
Meg Miller was the photographer taking their pictures after the ceremony and couldn’t resist snapping away when Tom introduced himself to the happy couple.
Posting a collage of sweet images to her Instagram, Meg wrote: “Yesterday's wedding was so beautiful! Elisabeth and Ryan you planned one amazing celebration.
“The icing on the cake was @tomhanks stopping in Central Park to wish them congratulations.”
In Meg’s shots you can see Tom taking a selfie with Elisabeth and Ryan, and the 60-year-old later took to his social media to share the snap with a congratulatory message.
Tom wrote: “Elizabeth and Ryan! Congrats and blessings! Hanx.”
Meg told Buzzfeed that Tom just “walked up to them unprovoked” and the moment was an exciting moment for her too.
“Shock and excitement pretty much sum it up how we were all feeling in that moment. It was an exciting NYC moment for the couple and for me,” she revealed.
“I was happy we were in position and had the couple in good lighting for the big surprise. I just kept thinking I shouldn’t stop clicking.”
She also revealed that the Forrest Gump star even joked about performing their ceremony.
We’re sure this will be a day to remember for the both of them for more than one reason.
Congratulations Elisabeth and Ryan!
