Shameless actress Tina Malone is going to have another baby at the age of 54
Tina Malone has revealed she's planning to have baby number three at the age of 54 and she doesn't care what anyone else thinks.
The Shameless actress has revealed she wants to extend her family by having another baby. Tina is already mum to her two daughters 35-year-old Danielle (who she had from a previous relationship) and three-year-old Flame.
Even though Tina became a gran last year she and her husband Paul Chase, 35, decided to expand their family because they want their daughter to have another younger sibling. The happy couple have decided to use surrogacy and will opted for gender selection because they want to have a baby boy.
The mum-of-two has admitted that she knows some people will think her decision is controversial but she isn't bothered.
She told the Sunday People: "Some will say I am selfish and irresponsible for having another child at 54.
"They will moralise and abuse me – even more so for selecting the sex of our baby – and everyone is entitled to their opinion.
"But I don’t give two shits for what they think."
She went on to reveal that she wants to have another baby so if anything happened to her, her husband and daughter Flame will have another family member.
She added: "I am doing this for Flame and for my husband, not just myself. I am healthy, of sound mind, solvent – and a bloody brilliant mother."
Tina has admitted that she would carry her next child however her husband is "concerned about her health." She told the publication: "We still have eight embryos frozen in Cyprus.
"And whenever we went there I’d cry, moan and say to Paul, “Please let me have another one.” But Paul won’t let me risk my life."
This isn't the first time Tina has said she wants another baby. Last year the actress admitted she wants to have another baby although she'd have to convince her husband on expanding their family.
On Loose Women, she said: "I don’t think Paul will… I have to be honest it’s a big debate in our house about whether to have children.
"My husband said if I buy him an Aston Martin I can have another one, I said I want triplets for that!”
It looks like Tina managed to convince her husband. Congratulations!
