Tina Malone has reportedly called police after she was targeted by cruel Twitter trolls over her weight loss.

The former Shameless actress has shed a massive 12 stone and was seen heading to a police station in Merseyside on New Year’s Eve.

It is thought she has made a complaint over the harsh online messages and body-shaming.

A source told the MailOnline that she started to receive the abuse after she was spotted taking the rubbish out while wearing a revealing nightdress.

They said: “She was reporting trolls who had been abusing her after she was pictured thing out the bins in her lingerie a few days ago.

“She was upset and shaken up.”

The former Celebrity Big Brother housemate hit out at the online bullies before Christmas.

She tweeted: “I am a mother yet you abuse me! You shouldn’t have children with your dirty, disgusting, filthy, evil mouth!

“You’re very sick. I will pray for you as you’re angry, vicious, nasty, sad, very insecure, I feel for your children.”

She added: “Vile, horrible, saggy, flabby, talentless, w**ore, disgusting, ugly, old etc isn’t abuse? Oh and thick, ghastly, deluded, silly me xx

“You’re angry, aggressive, twisted, what an outpouring of vile tweets at me for no reason other than I put my bins out dressed…

“In a ridiculous manner, I didn’t hurt, steal, lie, abuse anyone just a bit of fun, you chose to hurl abuse at me for it?”

Tina has given herself an impressive body overhaul over the last few years and added that she was glad she was able to laugh at herself.
