Taylor Swift gets ultimate revenge – as Kanye West booed at Billboard Awards

She was left mortified when Kanye West stormed the stage during her acceptance speech at the 2009 VMAs.

But Taylor Swift had the last laugh at this year’s Billboards, scooping an incredible 8 awards over the course of the evening.

Nominated for 14 categories, Taylor was crowned best female artist, as well as being awarded for best streaming song, artist of the year, top album and several other accolades.

Kanye West, in contrast, was booed by audiences and crowned the ‘worst performer of the night’ after his set failed to impress.

Due to sound problems, censoring and apparently just bad performing, twitter was awash with criticism for the rapper’s stint - which was introduced by sisters in law Kylie and Kendall Jenner.

And even the girls weren’t safe from booing crowds, who can be heard heckling them as they try to introduce West.

‘Very apparent the audience at #BBMAs were also not #KendallJenner or #KylieJenner fans. Never heard so many BOOs’ one Twitter user wrote.

Another wrote: ‘Deserved. What a classless ending to the @billlboard awards.’
