The 26-year-old singer, real name Costadinos Contostavlos referred to the social media sites capacity to show things that were being talked and searched for in their # trending list.

However, Dappy may be upset to hear that Twitter bosses are already thinking of scrapping the symbol in a year's time, as they make changes to the site's design.
Fans of the star also didn't seem too impressed with his new inking, with one Twitter user writing: 'Dappy's hashtag tattoo is everything that's wrong with the world.'
The father of two already has several other tattoos - including 'RIP Dad' on his neck and a large sleeve design on his arm.
