Jade, who replaced Sugababes founding member Keisha Buchanan, is said to own thousands to to taxman, after the group went on hiatus in 2012.
A source told The Sun: “Jade put her all into her music but sadly things simply haven’t gone well. She joined the Sugababes full of optimism and had high hopes given the band were very much established in the charts. But it seems she fell victim to their shelf life expiring.”
By the time Jade, 27, joined the group, all three of the original girls had been replaced – leaving many fans feeling as though they had lost their credibility.
Speaking in 2013, Jade admitted she came into the band at the wrong time, and that they were already on their way out.
She said: “I was kind of unlucky in that I came in [to Sugababes] towards the end of the cycle when things naturally came to an end.”
Before teaming up with Amelle Berrabah and Heidi Range, Jade represented the UK in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest and finished fifth, the highest ranking British act since 2002.
Original member Mutya Buena was declared bankrupt in September 2014. Other stars who have joined the list in recent years include all four members of boy band Blue, S Club 7’s Jo O’Meara and Paul Cattermole and Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona.
