A court in Gainesville, Florida, heard that defendant Pedro Bravo’s iPhone app Siri was asked the question: “I need to hide my roommate.”
“What kind of place are you looking for?” Siri was seen to have responded. “Swamps. Reservoirs. Metal foundries. Dumps.”
MAN POSTS CHILLING FACEBOOK STATUS AFTER MURDERING HIS WIFE
Bravo’s attorney said in his defence: “This is not evidence that he ever did an inquiry, looking for some information online for needing to hide his roommate.”
“Bravo’s attorney pointed out the screen grab was among hundreds of pictures that were on Bravo’s phone and that the search may not have been initiated by his client,” a local news station reported.
Bravo was charged with the murder of his roommate, Christian Aguilar- a student at the University of Florida- after they got into an argument about Bravo’s ex-girlfriend.
Aguilar’s body was discovered in shallow grave in woodland in north Florida in 2012.
A coroner ruled that the student had been strangled.
Detectives also noted that he used the flashlight app on his iPhone nine times, prompting accusations that he used it to find a place to bury Aguilar.
