Peter Andre has reportedly lost over a stone since starting Strictly Come Dancing 2015.
The 42-year-old has been training up to eight hours a day, and the results have taken their toll on his body.
So much so that his worried wife, 26-year-old doctor Emily MacDonagh, has resorted to feeding him extra calories.
A source told The Mirror: "Peter has been working around the clock and skipping meals.
“He has lost a lot of weight and Emily has been trying to fatten him up by putting extra calories in his food. She been using extra butter and cream when cooking.”
They added: ”Pete has also been getting advice from Thom Evans, who lost three stone when he competed. It's a really tough show and can take its toll on the body."
On Saturday, Peter was in joint second place with actress Helen George and EastEnders star Kellie Bright after he performed the tango.
Newsreader Katie Derham came top of the leader board - although Pete allegedly still sees The Wanted’s Jay McGuinness as his biggest competition.
"Now Peter has Jay as competition, the pressure is on and he is determined to be in the final,” the insider added to The Mirror.
Meanwhile Emily recently admitted that Pete’s hectic schedule has left them with few opportunities to spend any time together.
She explained: "I haven't really seen him much this week, he's been so busy training and working."
But, despite that, Emily is just as supportive and proud of her husband as ever.
"It's taken me by surprise how well he's picked it up because it's not easy, he's shattered," she said.
"Me and the kids love to sit and watch him. I'm so proud and so impressed by how well he's done."
