Strictly’s Mark Wright gets emotional: ‘I’m not bringing Michelle again’

Strictly Come Dancing’s Mark Wright has revealed that he can no longer bring fiancee Michelle along to the live shows as looking at her whilst dancing mad him ‘emotional’.

Following his performance of the American Smooth, Mark revealed that he felt emotional every time he looked towards his actress fiancee, who was sitting in the audience with his family.

He said after his routine: “I’ve got a new rule: I'm not bringing Michelle, my mum, my dad, my sister again, because every time I look over at them I get [emotional].”

“I went through a feeling on Saturday night that I've never experienced before and it was incredible.”

Mark’s performance of the American Smooth already had major romantic undertones when the former TOWIE star hinted that he was looking for a potential wedding dance.

He was filmed asking partner Karen Hauer: “I’m getting married next year. Could this be the kind of dance that could work for the wedding?”

Initially, Mark struggled to perform the intimate moves required of the routine, telling professional dancer Karen: “This is hard. If Michelle was here it would be more natural.”

He then added: “I am a bit of softie. Second week in a row I feel like crying again.”
