The miracle of childbirth is a memory many mothers treasure forever
But pregnant Stephanie Davis says she is quite literally looking forward to re-living her own child’s birth again and again, when the time comes, as she wants a camera to be there to capture the incredible experience for posterity.
The former Hollyoaks star and ex-Celebrity Big Brother contestant is eight-months pregnant with a son – having conceived the child following a tumultuous relationship with fellow CBB star Jeremy McConnell.
The 23-year-old actress says she can’t wait to meet her first child – and wants to make sure she has a record of the birth so she can to watch it over and over again.
Discussing her upcoming birthing process, the star revealed: "I’m even thinking about filming it as it would be nice to have a personal memory to watch back when I want."
Revealing she won’t require a professional camera team, she added: "I think my mum will be too excited to concentrate on filming though!"
Let’s hope Mrs Davis can hold the camera steady!
Steph also says she thinks her bundle of joy might even arrive early: at her most recent scan she found out her baby boy is already moving into position to make his way into the world.
"I had my latest growth scan in preparation and I can officially confirm my baby is all ready to go," she wrote in her OK! magazine column.
“He’s going to be one healthy boy! I just can’t wait to meet him now,” she wrote.
"I was a bit sad at this appointment though as I didn’t get to see my baby the way I usually do. His head is down and preparing to come into the world so we probably won’t be able to see his face from now on," she explained.
Steph has also explained the changes to her body have been tough – but thinks it is nothing compared to the health scare she had earlier this month which saw her rushed to hospital after a bout of vomiting and bleeding.
"I’ve been speaking to my midwife about Pelvic Girdle pain. She’s given me a few exercises to do and has given me something to wear to help relieve the pressure – I’m full on waddling now," she jokes.
"I’ve also started to experience Braxton Hicks [painful tummy cramps which are a precursor to labour pains] … they are painful but it didn’t compare to what I recently went through in hospital," she added.
"I honestly can’t imagine my baby making it to my due date, the pains are so strong now I’m convinced he will come early!" she predicts.
Steph first announced she was pregnant back in May – five months after first meeting former Beauty School Cop Outs star Jeremy McConnell in the Celebrity Big Brother house.
The pair embarked on a passionate – and headline grabbing – love affair which saw them all coupled up and happy one moment on Instagram one moment, then publically dragging each other through the dirt the next.
The pair ended their relationship shortly after Steph announced her pregnancy – and the soap star has vowed to raise her son as a single mum.
"I’m on my own so I’ve had to do everything I can both personally and professionally because I want the best for my son and his future," the star wrote in her colum.
Meanwhile she emphasised on Instagram how excited she is for her child’s upcoming arrival.
"Just want you in my arms now to hold and never let go, love you so much it hurts," she wrote, while sharing a cute snap of her bump and a baby grow.
With just weeks left until her son is due, we hope Steph enjoys the time she has left of her pregnancy.
