Stephanie Davis is trying her best to carry on with family life with son Caben-Albi after ex Jeremy McConnell jetted back to Ireland after avoiding jail for assaulting her.

The former Celebrity Big Brother housemate took her son to a farm on Sunday to pet the animals and shared a cute family snap of the pair wearing matching hats.

Despite much of the country experiencing warm and sunny weather this August bank holiday, the former Hollyoaks actress and her tot donned white bobble hats which may be better suited to winter.

Posting the picture on Instagram, Stephanie wrote: "Absolutely lovely family day at Windmill Animal Farm with my little boy, some cracking photos to follow, Caben was so scared of the goat.

"Definitely recommend it to take your little ones. Don't know who had more fun, me or the kids."

Many of her followers were quick to compliment Stephanie and her child, with one person commenting: "Your son is just adorable."

Stephanie had a tough time this summer when she split from Irish model Jeremy, who she met in the Celebrity Big Brother house.

The former couple called it quits after he assaulted her, of which he was found guilty when he went to court last month.

However, he did not go to prison as he was handed a suspended sentence.
