It may or may not surprise you to hear that Stephanie Davis and Jeremy McConnell have confirmed their split.
The couple, who met in the Celebrity Big Brother house just a few weeks ago, were spotted ring shopping just days ago.
But, when all traces of Steph were deleted from Jeremy’s Instagram account, it seemed as if the worst had happened.
And now the Irish model has confirmed that the star-crossed lovers are no more.
He issued a statement about the split, which read: “He cares really deeply for Steph.
“However the pressure of the relationship was just too much.”
He added: “He really wishes it could have worked out, and he wishes Steph the very best for the future.”
The pair were scheduled to be on Loose Women this afternoon, but the model announced he won't be appearing after the break-up.
It seems as if the “pressure” could have come from the fact that Jeremy went “AWOL for a day”, leaving former Hollyoaks star Stephanie concerned that he had cheated on her.
An insider told the Mirror: "She couldn't get hold of him for 24 hours and was really worried, especially with the recent rumours he cheated on her after a night out.
"He was at a personal appearance in Fife at Kitty's nightclub, and she panicked when she couldn't reach him."
Shortly after this report, Jeremy tweeted - in a post which has since been deleted - that he felt like the “biggest mug”.
Oh dear.
