Stephanie Davis sparked speculation she’d given birth this week after going totally silent on social media.

The former Hollyoaks actress is usually very active online but she hasn’t posted anything since Boxing Day.

Her last post left some thinking she was having contractions earlier this week despite her due date being in January.

She wrote: “Gone from eating pigs in blankets.. To becoming a pig in a blanket. Sweet dreams, love Steph & baby boy. Lightning bolts continue, ouch.”

However, she hasn't gone into labour and it seems there is another reason for the former Celebrity Big Brother housemate’s internet absence - she’s avoiding stress after someone close to her gave away private and false information.

A friend of the reality star told Mirror Online: “Someone close to Steph is leaking false and hurtful stories which, at this stage of her pregnancy, Steph is finding it hard to cope with - so she has come off social media for the time being.”

However, despite these worries, Stephanie appears to be looking forward to the arrival of her first child after falling pregnant by ex-boyfriend Jeremy McConnell.

Posting a picture of herself cradling her bump online, she wrote: “One tired Mummy with one tired boy! Ate so, so much I cannot breath! Laughed so much playing Speak Out hehe it’s knackered me.

“Actually can’t wait to get into bed tonight and snuggle this little one and make the most of our last memories of him being inside before he arrives to his mummy.”
