Stacey Solomon has discussed her fears for her sons as they are growing up and asking questions about body image
In a society such as ours, it's only a matter of time before children start asking questions about how they look, or making comments about their appearance that make us wish the world was different.
Mum-of-two Stacey Solomon has found this to be the case already with her nine-year-old son Zachary.
In a piece she wrote for Metro.co.uk, she wrote about her concerns.
Stacey, 27, wrote: "With my boys, strangely and sadly enough, my nine-year-old son has already said to me, 'When am I old enough to go to the gym? Do I have a six pack?'
"Why is he asking me these questions? It's not because I let them watch anything or see anything. It's because even cartoons, even superheroes that kids idolise, are fully ripped. So kids think, 'Oh, I don't look like that'. It's just so scary. So I do have to have conversations with them.
"We can only do our best with kids, I frigging love my humans, they are my life. But I can only give them the tools to have a lovely life."
This comes after Stacey posted a hilarious video of herself on holiday, embracing her natural body.

The video shows Stacey telling the camera three things she loves about her bikini body - the first being her "muffin top", as it makes it comfy to lie down on stone; her "saggy boobs", so that she can hide things in there without needing a bag; and her stretch marks, which provide "hours of entertainment" for the children.
She wrote alongside the empowering post: "SHOUT OUT TO EVERYONE ON HOLIDAY WORRYING ABOUT HOW THEY LOOK! You're all perfectly imperfect and unique and beautiful. I thought I'd make a little holiday video celebrating my society-labelled 'imperfections' because actually I love them, they're part of me, and they have their uses!
"I think if we can all show off our insecurities then we will all start realising NOBODY escapes the world of perfection, that we are all under pressure to keep up with and everyone can sleep a little easier at night knowing everyone comes in different shapes sizes etc. etc. and we all have the same extraordinary bits that are seen as 'imperfections' but they're not, they all tell a story of who we are and why we are and where we are going!"
Stacey also addressed this in her piece for Metro: "When I posted that video of myself on holiday this week it made me realise that people are so supportive and people are so kind. People are inherently good and will support you and value your honesty.
"When I first got trolled, at first it made me feel sad about myself and I felt like, 'Oh, maybe I should change?' They are pointing out things that I am already aware of. Yes, I am aware that my boobs are saggy. Yes, I am aware that I have a big nose. I am aware of all of that.
"But as time goes on I just feel sorry for my trolls. Think about what you have to do to sit down on a computer and on your phone to write something negative about someone – you have to be quite a sad person. So really, I feel sorry for them. I don't take it personally."
What a strong lady - we could all learn a little something from Stacey!
