Stacey Solomon admitted today that she would never lend a boyfriend money. And that includes her current beau Joe Swash.
The singer and presenter made the statement during a discussion on Loose Women today about whether the panellists would ever date somebody in debt.
While Stacey said she wouldn't judge a potential partner on their financial situation, she wouldn't lend them money.
But the 27-year-old did explain that while she draws the line at loaning money, she would be more than happy to offer emotional support and even take friends into her own home instead.
Of meeting a new man she said: "I don’t care what their financial situation is
"I look at their personality, who they are, what they bring to me as a human being, how much I can get from them in that respect."
She went on to explain: "If they’re having money difficulties I’ll offer advice, but I don’t really want to get involved."
Denise Van Outen then asked: "If your partner comes to you and says: 'I’ve hit rock bottom and I really need your help', would you do it, financially?"
But Stacey stuck to her guns and replied: "I would say come and live me. I’ll offer you emotional love and support, but I won’t help you with money.
"All I’ve ever known when it comes to money and relationships is resentment.
"If they don’t give it back there’s that bit inside you that says 'they took that from me and they don’t care'"
