Fans of Made in Chelsea and I’m a Celebrity were shocked to learn that Spencer Matthews had been kicked off the show after revealing he is addicted to steroids.

Now the 26-year-old has arrived back in the UK after swiftly leaving the Australian jungle reports claim that the reality star will check into rehab.

A source close to Spencer explained to The Mirror that the star’s management and family are urging him to seek help.

They said: “He has one of the best teams in the business around him and they are having talks about how they can save his career.

“Their main priority is looking after Spencer and making sure he is on the straight and narrow.”

Spencer tried to hide his addiction from producers and he explained in a statement to The Mirror: “Why did I leave I'm a Celebrity after just three days? The simple answer is that I screwed up, and have some explaining to do.”

He continued: “Shortly after I arrived in Australia I told the production team that I was taking a steroid-based medication that had begun some weeks ago.

“When I started taking this programme of pills it was in preparation for a charity boxing match which, ironically, never took place.'

“My admission to the production team that I was still taking these pills led to the conclusion that it would be unsafe for me to stay in the jungle - a decision which I found extremely hard to stomach.”
