Reality show Geordie Shore is certainly no stranger to controversy. But this time the storm hasn’t been caused by an explicit romp, drunken arrest or broken engagement.

Cast member Sophie Kasaei has been fired from the MTV show for allegedly making racist comments on camera.

The 23-year-old is said to have been recorded saying, ‘I hate n****s’.

The incident reportedly took place during the filming of the seventh season last week.

A source told a UK newspaper:

‘Apparently Sophie was caught using the n-word.

‘The show bosses were made aware of what she is alleged to have said and they kicked her off the programme. She is devastated.’

A spokesperson for MTV said:

‘After an incident last week, Sophie Kasaei was removed from Geordie Shore pending further investigation into alleged offensive behaviour.

‘MTV and Lime Pictures have now taken the decision that it is inappropriate for Sophie to return to the show.

‘We will be reiterating to the remaining cast members that offensive behaviour will not be tolerated.’

Sophie will miss the reality star lifestyle judging by recent tweets

It seems the reality star might already have her sights set on her next show, telling a UK magazine:

‘It would be great if I got offered anything like that [CBB]. It’s exactly like Geordie Shore. We have cameras filming us 24/7, so I think Big Brother would be a walk in the park.

This latest drama comes shortly after cast mates Vicky Pattison and Holly Hagan were arrested following a fight in a Newcastle nightclub, which reportedly ended with a 18-year-old girl receiving facial injuries.
