Solange speaks out for first time about that lift incident with Jay-Z: “We’re all good”

Solange has finally broken her silence over the leaked footage of her attacking her brother-in-law Jay-Z in a lift.

Beyoncé’s little sister, 28, only described the incident as ‘that thing’, and insisted there was no problem between her and her sister’s husband.

She told a US magazine: “What’s important is that my family and I are all good. What we had to say collectively was in the statement that we put out, and we all feel at peace with that.”

The now infamous clip shows Solange, Jay and Beyoncé after the Met Gala in May. Suddenly Solange seems to fly into a rage, kicking and punching Jay while Bey just observes.

Eventually, security managed to pull Solange from Jay and she left with her sister, with Jay leaving on his own.

While the three of them did put out a joint statement about how Solange and Jay have forgiven each other, there has never been an official explanation behind the attack.

An official statement read: “As a result of the public release of the elevator security footage from Monday May 5th, there has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident.

“But the most important thing is that our family has worked through it. Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public.”
