Disturbing CCTV footage, showing Beyonce’s sister Solange Knowles brutally attacking rapper Jay-Z, was leaked online by American site TMZ.com this week.

Perhaps the most astonishing thing about the video, which shows Solange kicking, hitting and screaming at her brother-in-law, is the fact that her older sister can be seen watching the assault in silence, seemingly unfazed.
However, while many have interpreted this as meaning Beyonce was simply allowing the two to work out their differences, Radar Online have claimed that her marriage has always been a series of 'screaming fights, bottles crashing and derogatory names'.
Citing BlindGossip.com as their primary source, they have written about an incident between the pair, which occurred just before her Super Bowl performance in 2013.
It read: “He became angry that she wasn’t giving him her full attention, and he grabbed the mobile device out of her hands.
“He discovered that she was texting another man and started going through all her texts. His voice started out low, and he was swearing, ‘You mother f_ing b_tch!.’”
Before long, the site claims, Beyonce “jumped up and got in his face and started yelling and swearing right back …
"She tried to grab the phone back from him, but he pushed her away and continued going through the phone and screaming at her, pushing her away, berating her, and started calling her every derogatory name for a woman in the book.”
Onlookers called the scene “horrific,” but the site claims that Beyonce and Jay Z’s team seemed totally used to such behaviour.
There are also rumours that Solange tweeted confirmation she attacked Jay-Z because he hit Beyonce, although the post has since apparently been deleted.
It reportedly read: "u hit my sis I hit u hoe [sic]"
However many have slammed the tweet as being fake, insisting it has too many characters to be an official tweet.
Meanwhile HollywoodLife has reported that Jay Z is furious the footage was released. Referring to the attack as a "family issue," a source who claims to be close to the rapper said: “Jay Z is not about to sit around and let this video of an internal fight between him and a member of his family tarnish his reputation or the family’s.”
“Whatever happened should have remained between them as Solange likely thought she had a more than reasonable expectation of privacy, given that she was at a hotel and in an elevator.”
They added: “Hov cannot believe this private moment has now been made public because of someone who was looking to make a quick buck. Now he is out for blood and will have the last laugh in this matter."
