CCTV footage of Beyonce's sister Solange kicking and lashing out at her brother-in-law was released Monday by entertainment site TMZ, as the world wondering what could have prompted such an attack.
Bosses at The Standard Hotel in New York City immediately began investigating who was responsible for the footage leak - eventually finding that one of their employees had filmed the CCTV on their phone and then sought the highest bidder.
A statement from the hotel read that the employee in question had been fired for 'breaching the security policies of the hotel and recording CCTV video.'
Beyonce, Jay-Z and Solange have all refrained from commenting on the incident, although the queen of pop showed solidarity with her sister, posting four snaps of them both onto her Instagram account on Wednesday.
Solange allegedly lost her cool with rapper Jay-Z when he wanted to attend Rihanna's after party on the night of the Met Gala, rather than accompany his wife home.
Beyonce can be seen in the footage standing next to her sister and husband and looking on as Solange lashed out at him.
