The 42-year-old TV presenter has embarked on a body overhaul ahead of her May wedding to toyboy Jack Cocking, 26. Here’s how she did it…
‘I’m going for definition, but I don’t want to look stick-thin – a girl needs curves.’
Fitness plan
A source reveals the size 8 bride-to-be has been doing Pilates, Bikram yoga and core workouts:
“Mel’s joked: ‘I’m working my butt off to stop things going south!’ Mel wants her tummy to be more defined and her bum to be curvier. She’s said: ‘I’m going for definition, but I don’t want to look stick-thin – a girl needs curves.’
"She upped her workouts four months ago so she could get results in time for the wedding. She’s been doing up to six sessions a week.”
Mel recently revealed:
"I started training about four years ago. I was approaching 40 and just thought it would be quite good to get fit…I was slim, but it wasn’t about it, it was about getting a bit fitter. On a good week, if I’m not working, I get in the gym between three and give times a week".
Diet
Insiders reveal Mel is following a Dukan-based diet, with lots of lean protein and low-fat foods.
The source adds:
“Mel’s avoiding carbs and sticks to chicken and fish with veg, although she often has a protein smoothie for dinner and snacks on nuts and watermelon. She allow herself Sundays off, saying she’d be miserable otherwise”
