Randy and his wife, Chelsea, welcomed their daughter, whom they named Rumer Rain, just eight days ago on June 3 in Texas.

The birth was announced happily with his fans via Facebook, where a statement read: “Welcome the newest member of the Rogers family, Rumer Rain, born at 7:29 am this morning.

“7 lbs, 13 oz and 20 inches long.

“Everybody is happy and healthy!”

However, tragically, it has now been confirmed that Rumer was born with a rare condition that she lost her battle with this week.

Speaking emotionally with a local radio station, Randy said that his little girl fought to survive during her short time on earth.

"Rumer passed away last night. She died after a weeklong battle with a very rare condition.

“She died in our arms and in no pain. She was absolutely beautiful in every way. Her brain however was very sick."

A statement on Randy’s official Facebook page read: “Rumer Rain Rogers, daughter of Randy and Chelsea Rogers, passed away last night at Seton Memorial Hospital in Austin, Texas.

“Rumer died of natural causes, in her parents loving arms, just days after her birth.

“During this time of grieving, the family asks that individuals wishing to offer condolences make a donation to the children's charity of their choosing.

“The family thanks you for your love and support.”

Despite the tragedy, Rogers said he will someday share his baby girl's medical struggle publicly.

"I’m sure you all have many questions and we have all the answers the doctors gave us. We can share the story with you," he said to 93Q Country.

"It’s quite an extraordinary one. A memorial will be planned soon. We love you."

Randy and his wife, who married in 2013, are already parents to 21-month-old River Rose.
