According to reports, Simon Cowell is keen to sign up the YouTube sensation – real name Zoe Sugg – and hopes to cash in on her huge internet following.
Zoella, 25, has over eight million subscribers on the video sharing site and Simon, 55, allegedly wants to turn them into viewers of the ITV2 spin-off show.
A source told the Daily Star: “There is serious interest in Zoella and Simon is keen to hear how she developed such a huge online following with young people.”
Zoella has definitely made the most of her success: last she she released the record-breaking book Girl Online and more recently she launched her own beauty range.
But it looks like Simon might not get his own way for once and Zoella took to Twitter this morning to address the rumours.
She wrote: “I don’t know where this has come from? I’m definitely not.”
Sarah-Jane announced she was quitting the show after one series earlier this year, tweeting: “Xtra factor has been amazing!
“However I have a new project coming up this summer & with all the changes happening I won’t be back.
“But I’m excited to see the new line-up and wanna wish them all the luck in the world. Can’t wait to watch them in action! [sic]”
