No parent likes to be in the situation where their child won’t stop crying on an airplane - especially when the people around them refuse to be understanding about the situation.

So we can understand how Simon Cowell felt when, whilst flying from London to Miami, his 13-month-old son Eric started getting restless.

However the X Factor judge was left feeling like Mr Nasty when one of his fellow passengers started complaining about the toddler's occasional crying - and even asked to be moved away from the famous father and his tot.

Taking to Twitter, Simon fumed: “Just arrived in Miami. The @British_Airways team were great.

“Eric travelled with us but one really really grumpy man complained. A Lot!

“He asked to be moved. Complained to the staff. And there was a lot of sighing and tutting.”

However Simon had nothing but praise for the other travellers sympathetic to his parenting plight, adding: “The other passengers were amazing.”

Earlier this week, Ella Henderson revealed that Simon had been finding it tough to “control” his son since he started walking.

The songstress - who is signed to Simon's record label Syco - said: “Simon was telling me how he can't control him.

“Apparently he's walking and they've got baby gates everywhere.”

Mums and dads, have you ever been in Simon’s situation? How did you handle your little one crying on the plane?
