He is in direct competition with the show, but Strictly judge Craig Revel Horwood reckons Simon Cowell would be a hit on the celebrity dance off.
Speaking to Digital Spy, the 51-year-old told how he thinks the X Factor creator would be perfect for Strictly Come Dancing.
Craig was confident fellow mean man Simon would be ‘great’ as a contestant on the show, only if he would give in to the power of Strictly...
“Well, if he wants to hang his X Factor shoes up and put some dancing ones on, that'd be rather nice, wouldn't it? And I think people at home would want to see it as well."
Well, would you? We certainly wouldn’t mind a hop and a twist from the dad of one.
BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing and ITV’s X Factor have been in direct rivalry for several years now, with both the talent airing at the same time on a Saturday night over the Christmas period.
And over the last few years, it seems the British public have been much more captivated by watching celebs attempt the Waltz and being thrown into the air than music hopefuls singing their hearts out, as Strictly has been winning the ratings war with a whopping 3 million more viewers for some of the biggest nights.
On the ratings war, the theatre enthusiast told Digital Spy at the House of Fraser British Academy Television Awards 2016 that "There's never really been any competition,” because the appeal of watching celebrities over the common man it just more alluring to the public.
What do you reckon? Do you think there’s any chance Simon Cowell will trade his position as head judge to being rated by his rivals?
Nope, we not betting on it either.
