Simon Cowell looks like the sort of dad a daughter could easily wrap around her little finger, doesn't he?
Yup, The X Factor mogul recently hinted that he and Lauren Silverman are expecting a baby daughter. And by hinted, we mean he winked. In a very loaded and hint-heavy way.
Simon was at the launch of his new musical I Can't Sing and reportedly accepted a babygro from a UK newspaper which read “My genes have the X Factor”. More importantly, he apparently smiled and winked when members of the press asked if he was expecting a daughter. Mmhmm, he WINKED. We all know what that means, right?
We think it means a little girl is on the way. And we're genuinely very excited to meet her.
In the meantime, Simon is really getting into this daddy business. He recently revealed that he had accompanied his girlfriend to hospital for her 20-week scan - and that he felt overwhelmed by the surreal nature of it all.
"It is just surreal."
"You literally see this thing which is now alive moving around. I feel very paternal right now. So I am very happy."
However, before anyone starts to worry, the soon-to-be dad added quickly: "I can assure you: I won't go soft."
Mmhmm, we'll wait and see Simon. We imagine having a gorgeous little girl holding your hand on the red carpet might cancel out the Mr Nasty image...
